Cognify Smart is an AI-powered teaching assistant platform designed to reduce teacher workload by 5-10 hours per week. It automates lesson planning, work generation, marking (both digital and handwritten), progress tracking, quizzes, and reporting. The platform serves independent teachers, students, and school administrators/heads of department.
The AI-driven lesson planner uses teacher inputs like topic, objectives, duration, prior knowledge, and differentiation requirements. It generates structured lesson plans, optional PowerPoint slides, and printable worksheets. Teachers input their profile details (age groups taught, exam boards, teaching styles) and the system automatically creates customized lesson plans tailored to their curriculum.
For digital marking: Upload PDFs, DOCX, or text files for rubric-based scoring with AI feedback. For handwritten work: Use our camera-based marking system with OCR and handwriting recognition. All work is initially marked by AI, then forwarded to teachers for review, edit, and approval before final grades and feedback are released to students.
Cognify Smart integrates with Google Classroom, Moodle, and various MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor, PowerSchool). For Moodle, we use REST API & Web Services for two-way data synchronization. Google Classroom integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication and syncs class lists, student rosters, assignments, and grades both ways automatically every 24 hours.
The system provides student skill maps, weak topic detection, and generates targeted revision packs. It identifies areas of strength and weakness, recommends improvement strategies, and produces personalized progress reports for parents. For schools, it offers department performance dashboards, grade predictions, historical comparisons, and aggregated school-wide data visualizations.
The AI Assistant acts as an embedded intelligent guide within the platform. It provides conversational help for any feature, understands what page the user is on, and can perform actions like generating lesson plans or navigating the UI. Powered by OpenAI GPT or Anthropic Claude API, it can fill forms, execute tasks, and offer in-context assistance through a command interface layer.
