Cognify Smart helps teachers save 5–10 hours weekly with AI-powered lesson planning, marking, and progress tracking.
We developed a comprehensive AI-driven platform that automates lesson planning, work generation, marking (both digital and handwritten), progress tracking, quizzes, and reporting. This system reduces teacher workload by 5-10 hours per week while improving feedback quality and enabling personalized learning pathways for students.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing educational ecosystems including Moodle, Google Classroom, and school management systems. Using advanced AI models including OpenAI GPT for NLP tasks, TensorFlow/PyTorch for custom model training, and Google Vision for OCR processing, the system provides intelligent automation that adapts to individual teacher styles and student needs.
The core challenge was creating an intuitive platform that could handle complex educational workflows while maintaining a simple, Apple-like user experience. We implemented a modular, microservices-based architecture with cloud-native deployment (AWS) to ensure scalability and resilience. The system features one primary action per screen, large typography, generous whitespace, and fast UI interactions under 2 seconds.
Implementation was carefully phased to allow for adaptation and learning. Initial deployment in pilot schools enabled teachers to test the AI-generated lesson plans, automated marking system, and progress tracking features, providing valuable feedback for refinement.
The platform has demonstrated significant improvements in teacher efficiency and student outcomes. Schools report reduced administrative burden, more consistent feedback quality, and better identification of student learning gaps through AI-powered analytics.
The system features an intelligent AI Assistant (In-App Copilot) powered by OpenAI GPT or Anthropic Claude API. This assistant provides conversational help, understands context, can navigate UI, fill forms, and execute tasks through a command interface layer. Teachers can simply ask "Generate lesson plan for Year 9 Science" and the system creates customized plans with appropriate differentiation.
